In his current position, Michael is responsible for the delivery of studies and environmental and social impact assessments for PanAust’s pre-development assets.
Michael has more than 12 years’ experience working in Papua New Guinea and in 2018 successfully delivered the Sepik Development Project Environmental Impact Statement. He is currently actively supporting the Project’s approvals and permitting activities.
Michael first joined PanAust in December 2013 as the Company’s Principal Environmental Advisor and was promoted to his current position of Study Manager in January 2019. Michael is an environmental professional with over 18 years’ experience in base metals and coal mining operations and projects, delivering studies, and in the preparation and delivery of environmental and social impact assessments.
Prior to commencing employment with PanAust, Michael held a number of positions with mining companies such as Newcrest, Xstrata and MIM in both Australia and Papua New Guinea. Michael is a Chartered Professional with the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
