The Frieda River Limited delegation, led by PanAust Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Daling Zheng, meet with Papua New Guinea Prime Minister, James Marape and senior Government officials in Sydney.
On Monday 5 December 2022, Frieda River Limited’s representatives were honoured to meet with Papua New Guinea Prime Minister, James Marape and other senior Government officials in Sydney, Australia.
Both the Company and Government representatives are attending the 16th Papua New Guinea Mining and Petroleum Investment Conference & Exhibition focused on promoting international investment in Papua New Guinea.
Mr. Marape has held a series of meetings with investors in the mining and petroleum sectors while attending the conference.
The one-on-one meeting provided an opportunity for Company representatives to provide an update to the Government on the status of the Frieda River Project.
Frieda River Limited’s Company representatives were warmly met by Prime Minister Marape, the Attorney-General, Pila Niningi and Minister for Fisheries and Marine Resource, Jelta Wong.
PanAust Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Daling Zheng, Frieda River Limited Director, Phil McCormack, Special Advisor, Arthur Somare and Frieda River Country Manager, Joel Hamago provided Project updates respectively during the meeting.
Taking place over three days, the conference features speakers from Government and industry around the theme – ‘PNG Resources: securing the next wave of responsible investment’.
